Guelph-Wellington is about to kick off its local participation in the 20,000 Homes Campaign, a nationwide movement to permanently house 20,000 of Canada’s most vulnerable homeless people by July 1, 2018 (
The success of our kick-off Registry Week hinges on volunteers like you! We need volunteers to interview people experiencing homelessness. Some teams will be walking the street, while others will be stationed in various shelters, day programs and drop-ins. We’re looking for two types of volunteers to make up teams to administer the survey:
  • Team Leaders are people who have worked with those experiencing homelessness
  • Community Volunteers may not have worked with those experiencing homelessness, but want to support the campaign
Shifts are available in the mornings / afternoons / evenings from Monday, April 25th to Wednesday, April 27th. To be part of a survey team, you will need to participate in a free training and orientation session. There are two options for this training:
  • April 20th, 6-8pm, Wellington County OPP – 470 Wellington Rd 18, Fergus
  • April 21st, 6-8pm, Welcome In Drop In (2nd Floor) – 25 Gordon St., Guelph
